#Davinci resolve requirements 17 softwareTHATS MY POINT! STOP GIVING SOFTWARE AWAY FOR FREE! I read years ago that for Apple selling a Mac is more profitable per unit than selling an iPhone (not sure if still true with the high iPhone prices nowadays), but it was iPhones and iPads that catapulted them to the No 1 position of most valuable companies on the planet.Īndrew Kolakowski wrote:Programmers cost real money. Free Resolve can be a foot in the door when it comes to reaching millions of potential pocket cinema camera and other entry level gear buyers. I guess the video enthusiasts market is too tempting for BMD. With FCP they took a mich higher risk with rebuilding it from the ground up and they had to pay the price as we know. #Davinci resolve requirements 17 proSome >20 year old pro features can still be found in Logic that are in no other Apple app. But in contrast to FCP they never changed the core of Logic. In fact after some ups and downs Apple succeeded to serve beginners, enthusiasts and professionals alike. Now some 15 years later this hasn't happened. ![]() After Apple bought the company that made Logic - then audio software with a clear focus on industry professionals - the community feared they were going to turn it into "Garageband Pro". We had similar discussions with Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro back in the days. I'm havgin a Deja Vu when I read these comments. And what if my work used more than two layers in the final timeline would you ask ? Well I had to render those separately and blend them together. I had to export my titles using the dumb "original clip" option to be able to render Alpha. Renders were acting from bad key framing with the text going to a side of the screen and back to it's place, to green glitches on a few frames and even pre-rendered frame being not found so it would break the final render. I won't ever again take the risk on working with fusion inside resolve : I knew it was bad for heavy paint brushing that would cause it to close instantly and to corrupt the project so it wouldn't load again, but I didn't imagine it would be bad enough to not be able to manage simple motion graphics. It also happens on mac, so the fix isn't there.īMD has to get resolve 16 to work before any other release or new feature. Or I'll have to buy a Mac to avoid these issues. I love you Black Magic but I can't use the software for editing in a professional environment when glitches like this exist in final renders. Jayfro wrote:Hopefully in Resolve 17 Fusion comps render without glitches and stutters on a PC like they do on a Mac. If it's really simple, chances are more people will start using it and eventually turn on the "expert mode" when they're ready - and upgrading to the studio version as/when required. #Davinci resolve requirements 17 skinperhaps a "simple-mode" which hides the bulk of the complexity and provides a skin that delivers really basic editing and grading tools (much like the cut-page was supposed to) whilst hiding all the unnecessary complexity and extra options. So maybe some thought should be given to more accurately (or agressively) setting expectations and requirements right up front.Įg: Resolve is a professional editing and grading tool quick requires adequately spec'd hardware and may have a significant learning curve - if your needs are more modest and your hardware less capable, there may be better tools for you" It seems that a lot of new users are coming to Resolve with much more basic requirements - then finding that the software places a significant load on their "budget" hardware (especially when using the non-studio version with the long-GOP codecs often found on consumer camera gear).Ī lot of the queries seem to be related to inadequate hardware or perhaps simply because Resolve isn't the best tool for the job (nobody needs a sledgehammer to push a thumbtack into the wall). #Davinci resolve requirements 17 moviePerhaps a "Windows Movie Maker" mode for newbs? (only half joking). ![]()
